The Modern Approach to a Warrior Lifestyle

CDC statistics for overweight and obesity are published for 2017-2018, so current numbers may be even more alarming. For American adults aged 20 and over, 73.6% are overweight which includes obesity. We are not only an overweight society, but often lacking in muscle, strength and vitality. We often graze throughout the day on foods containing chemicals and artificial ingredients, often low on digestible protein and high on simple (man-made refined) carbohydrates.

People that frequent podcasts like mine have turned to organic eating and intermittent fasting or time-restricted eating, bringing them closer to the natural approach used in cave man days. A former member of the Israeli Special Forces moved into the nutrition and fitness field and developed an approach inspired by early cultures such as nomads, hunter-gatherers, Romans and Greeks. His book on this lifestyle approach came out in 2022 and spelled out a plan to achieve fitness, strength and vitality. The author – Ori Hofmekler. The book: The Warrior Diet; Switch on Your Biological Powerhouse for High Energy, Explosive Strength, and a Leaner, Harder Body.

If you are ready to learn what this approach is like before acquiring the book, check out the new episode 125 Warrior Diet Form of Intermittent Fasting. You can find the slides/notes used, as well as the audio ITunes version and the YouTube video version at https://rebrand.ly/wowepisodes.

The plan encourages choices that are organic and natural, and we hope you do this to a high degree. The plan does not have specific meal plans, portion sizes or calorie counting. It can be used short term or as a long term lifestyle.

We would like to hear results and feedback from those who do this plan, which isn’t for everybody as mentioned in the podcast episode. For questions and feedback, email Julie@JPWOWPrograms.com.
